Become Powerful: Free support

Free resources for you

We all need support as we reach for power

Not everyone will decide to commit to a structured programme like the ones I have created. For various reasons, some of us are pursuing our personal power on our own. But encouragement and support is essential in self development.

We need to be able to reach out to like-minded people and know that we are understood as we tread our healing path – not least because power breeds power, so being around those who are already becoming powerful is good for us!

For this reason I provide free support every week in the form of the Monday Power Talks and the Virtual Power Circle.

Monday Power Talks

Every Monday I broadcast one of my Monday Power Talks – free videos designed to get your head and your heart around the truth about personal power. Many of these come with journeys I have created for you, to assist you in putting the things I talk about into practice for yourself.

The focus is always on shifting our behaviour, beliefs and actions into a place of greater personal power. Power is the raw energy we use in order to do anything, every action requires power, so how much power we have (and how much we lose or give away) is a question of vital importance. I explore this essential issue through my viewpoint as a shamanic practitioner.

My influences include modern day shamanic practice (and core shamanism), energy healing, positive thinking and mental/emotional reprogramming (Louise Hay), the law of attraction and western mystery traditions of magic. From my own personal point of view, these threads all weave together with two vital things in common: that we are part of/guided by a creative force that is larger than ourselves, and that we as individuals are extraordinarily powerful if we consciously choose how to direct our thoughts, actions and energy.

If you approach life as a healer or spiritual seeker of any kind, my hope is that by exploring power from this viewpoint I can assist you on your path. All issues raised in the Monday Power Talks are designed to create a shift in consciousness and to provide grounded, practical ideas you can really work with.

Virtual Power Circle

The Virtual Power Circle is an idea that grew out of the Monday Power Talks and all the interaction I was receiving from the community who engage with them. After a day of working with a circle who gathered together to drum and sing for healing, I realised that not everyone who is on a path of power has the good fortune to be surrounded by like-minded souls. When walking a path of healing and power, the support of your community is invaluable, so I felt it was essential to create virtual circle that anyone on this path could access.

As we are all spread out in different parts of the world, I decided to schedule half an hour of time each week – Sunday nights, 9pm UK time – to sit, support each other, and honour our own power. The circle continues to grow, and some members also come together on our private facebook group to share their experiences.

Virtual Power Circle FAQs

When is the circle?

The circle happens every Sunday night, 9-930pm, UK time. Many of our group members are unable to participate for the full 30 minutes, but will grab the free time they have within that slot to sit in power with the group. Remember that the energy of the group is held for you within that half hour, you are welcome to join for as long as you like within that time frame.

Where is the circle?

The circle is literally virtual, so it is everywhere! There is no link to follow or online place to show up, the circle happens wherever you are. Between 9-930pm on Sunday, I create an energetic container and set an intention that anyone who wishes to be a part of the circle can connect easily with one another. Wherever you are at that time, create the mental space for yourself to focus your intention on honouring your own power, connecting with the circle to give and receive support.

Do I have to tune in every week?

Nah, that’s not how I roll really :) This isn’t something I want you to add to your to do list and feel guilty about if you miss it. Several people tune in every week and make it part of their routine, certainly I’ll be there every week to hold the space for whoever needs to be present at that time. But you can be as involved in the circle as you like – if you just want to tune in occasionally you will be just as welcome as those who are always there. You will also be just as supported, so even if it’s a one off for you, please don’t hesitate to get in touch if you have questions or need help following your experience.

What do I have to do?

This varies from person to person – for some the power circle is a quiet, meditative experience. For others it is a more vigorous, energy raising exercise. Because power is unique to the individual (it is personal power, after all) I ask everyone to connect in their own way, and many (myself included) find that it differs from week to week. If you are new to energy work, here are some simple tips to get you started:

  • Create space by going to a room where you won’t be disturbed and switching off your phone
  • Do something that allows you to shift out of your ‘every day’ mindset and into one more suited to an act on your path of spiritual self development – try lighting a candle, burning incense or playing some meditative music
  • Set an intention that you wish to connect with and honour your power and your healing, and that you wish to connect with the virtual power circle – say this out loud if it helps your focus
  • Treat this exercise like a meditation – sit and be open to the insights and experiences that come to you, allow them to flow naturally, notice what comes up for you
  • When you are finished in the circle, give thanks to the energy and those who are present in the circle with you, and ‘close down’ – this means taking some deep breaths, coming back to normal physical awareness, blowing out your candle and perhaps grounding yourself with something to eat or drink
  • Write down your experiences afterwards – this will help maintain awareness of any insights you receive.

After the circle, a group of us usually share our experiences of that particular circle on the facebook group, you are welcome to join in the discussion. There are usually some spooky ‘coincidences’ where different members of the group had very similar experiences!

Do I have to sit quietly and meditate?

Nope, not at all. for those who are new to this kind of work I find it is the best, easiest way in while finding your feet. However, those who have been participating in the circle for a while often start to bring something of their own personality and spiritual practice to the proceedings and I really encourage this. Here are some of the things other circle members have been doing during our half hour circles:

  • Drumming
  • Rattling
  • Singing
  • Chanting
  • Dancing
  • Breathing exercises
  • Visualising certain energies, colours or guides
  • Automatic writing
  • Sitting with family members (including children) to bring them into a space of power
  • Sending healing energy

What does ‘honouring my power’ mean?

You’re right, it’s a bit vague, but I wanted to leave the intention of the circle open to fulfil the needs of as many of you as possible. If you would like a good, general intention to hold in your mind while sitting in the circle, honouring power and opening to healing and guidance are the best general intentions I can think of.

However, we all honour our power differently depending on what’s going on with us at that moment. Some weeks I have received a great deal of guidance and tough lessons, so my intention is to give thanks for those lessons and better understand how they can make me more powerful. Some weeks, I am focusing on using my power to create and hold strong boundaries, so I focus my intention on that. Sometimes, I wish to harness all available power and guidance for self healing, so my intention in the circle reflects that. On yet other weeks, I wish to feel into the support I have on my path, and put that support out for others, so that is my sole intention while sitting in the circle.

It’s entirely up to you whether you choose a general intention to honour your  power and healing, or something specific to your needs.

Do I have to tell you I’m tuning in to the circle?

No – you can be an anonymous lurker if you like, you’ll still feel the benefit and we’ll still honour you with our intention of supporting the whole circle, even if we don’t know your name. However, I think many people enjoy interacting with others in the circle, so if you want to get in touch with me and the other circle members you will be welcome on the facebook group.

Is there is a certain visualisation or energy type I need to be aware of?

It’s all very intuitive, so just sit with your intention knowing you are held in the circle, and see what comes. I find that the energy of the circle changes week to week, and so the visualisations and the type of energy that comes through for me is different each time. Sometimes the energy is very peaceful, sometimes white light, sometimes it is energetic, fiery and fast moving. There is no ‘right’ way to do this work. If you feel guided to channel reiki, chant a sanskrit mantra, say a christian prayer, call on the earth mother, perform a pagan ritual or dance to rock music, do it! It is a circle for people of any background, working in any tradition, united by the call to a path of healing and power. Work in your own way and you will find support here.

Have I answered all your questions? If not, please send me an email or join and ask your question in the facebook group.
